Hi! I’m Shaimaa Kraba.
The picture’s just to put a face to the name. The rest of my introduction is written below (Happy Scrolling!)

I study communication because I am fascinated by how stories don’t just tell us about the world… they quietly shape the way we see it.
Because once I started to see how meaning is constructed…I realized that we were never just passively observing but actively absorbing the stories we are consuming.
This led me to direct my attention towards narrative construction, media literacy, and ethical communication; especially focusing on digital media spaces where information moves fast and perception settles faster before we’ve had the chance to question it.
I am particularly interested in how framing, omission, tone, and delivery influence trust, credibility, and public perception. What we believe is rarely just about facts. It is about how those facts are presented. Through research and media analysis, I explore the psychological and cultural forces that guide how audiences interpret information and why certain narratives resonate more than others.
My goal is simply not to critique media, but to understand it deeply and participate in it responsibly. This is my virtual DIY Narrative Research Lab, a quiet corner of the internet where I channel my ongoing research and professional growth in communication studies. It’s also where I get to think out loud and unpack the layers behind the stories we consume every day.
